We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Children in Need Team in Leicester. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will lead assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide support to social work practitioners, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with safeguarding protocols.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individual care plans for children and families in need. Providing expert guidance and support to social work staff, enhancing their professional development and practice. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure holistic support for children and families. Managing complex cases and making critical decisions in line with statutory requirements and best practice. Maintaining accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with local authority policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker status (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant post-qualification experience in children’s social work, particularly within a Children in Need context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex cases effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with families and professionals.
