Join our dedicated Kinship Care Team in Barnet as an Advanced Practitioner in Qualified Social Work. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional who is passionate about supporting children and families in kinship care arrangements. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting kinship placements, ensuring that children are safe, supported, and thriving in their family environments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of kinship carers and their suitability for placements. Developing and implementing support plans tailored to the needs of children and their families. Providing ongoing supervision and support to kinship carers, ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to promote the best outcomes for children in kinship care. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and family support, particularly in kinship care. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
