We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our dedicated Looked After Children team in Bury. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will provide expert guidance and support to social work staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentoring a team of social workers, providing supervision and support to enhance their professional development. Conducting complex assessments and developing tailored care plans for children and young people. Collaborating with external agencies, including schools and health services, to ensure comprehensive support for looked after children. Reviewing and monitoring cases to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning initiatives.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience working with looked after children and their families. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
