We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assessment & Safeguarding Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Darlington. This vital role will focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families within our community. You will play a crucial part in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing safeguarding measures to protect those at risk. Your expertise will help drive positive outcomes for service users, enhancing their quality of life and supporting their journey towards independence.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Providing expert advice and support to junior social workers and other team members. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards. Engaging with service users and their families to promote participation and empowerment.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, BA Hons in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in social work, specifically within assessment and safeguarding. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
