Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to take the next step in your career? Bournemouth Council is seeking a dynamic Assistant Team Manager for our Children and Families Assessment team. In this rewarding role, you will support the team in delivering high-quality assessments and interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families in our community.

As the Assistant Team Manager, you will be responsible for:

Supporting the Team Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the assessment team. Conducting and supervising assessments of children and families, ensuring compliance with legal and policy frameworks. Providing guidance and support to social workers, promoting best practices and professional development. Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to facilitate effective service delivery. Contributing to team meetings and case discussions, ensuring a child-centered approach is maintained.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience within children and families social work. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support team members. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
