We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ASW - Senior Practitioner - Assessment & Safeguarding to join our dynamic team in the Qualified Social Work field. This pivotal role involves working closely with vulnerable individuals and families, ensuring their safety and well-being through comprehensive assessments and safeguarding initiatives. You will play a critical role in promoting best practices and leading a team of social workers to deliver high-quality services to our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Providing expert guidance and supervision to junior staff, fostering their professional development. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards. Participating in relevant training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills including:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England). Significant experience in assessment and safeguarding within social work. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a keen understanding of safeguarding legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively.
