Join our dedicated team in Birmingham as a Qualified Social Worker within the Kinship Assessment Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in need of support. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of kinship placements, ensuring that children are placed in safe and nurturing environments. Your expertise will be vital in working collaboratively with families, local authorities, and other stakeholders to promote the best outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive kinship assessments and home studies. Developing and implementing support plans tailored to individual family needs. Providing guidance and support to kinship carers throughout the assessment process. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for children and families.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection or kinship care assessments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks related to child welfare.
