We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker (Sr. QSW) to join our Family Help Team in Birmingham. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families to provide support and guidance, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality social work services and fostering positive relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans, tailored to individual family circumstances. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them to access necessary resources and services. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to family support. Supervising and mentoring junior social workers and students, promoting professional development within the team.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a relevant social work setting. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
