Join our dedicated team in Birmingham as a Team Manager for the Children In Care Team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of vulnerable children and young people. In this position, you will lead a passionate group of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that support and protect children in care. Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting best practices and fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes the welfare of the children and families we serve.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing and supervising a team of social workers, providing guidance and support in case management. Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and local authority policies. Overseeing the assessment and planning processes for children in care, ensuring their needs are met effectively. Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with external agencies and stakeholders. Leading performance management initiatives to enhance team effectiveness and service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in children’s social work, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by children in care. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships.
