Join our dedicated Adoption Team in Blackburn as a Qualified Social Worker, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of children and families. In this fulfilling position, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess and support prospective adoptive families, ensuring the best outcomes for children in need of loving homes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective adopters, ensuring their suitability and readiness for adoption. Providing ongoing support and guidance to adoptive families throughout the adoption process. Developing and implementing tailored support plans for children and families post-adoption. Working closely with local authorities, schools, and healthcare providers to advocate for the needs of children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legislative requirements.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in adoption or children's social work. Strong analytical and assessment skills, with a keen ability to identify and respond to the needs of children and families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
