Join our dedicated team in Blackburn with Darwen as a Social Worker in the Children in Our Care (CIOC) Team. We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children in care and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Children Act. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
