We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced social worker to join our Bolton Duty & Assessment Team in the role of Duty & Assessment Social Worker. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective support to children and families in need of intervention and support.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Responding to initial referrals and carrying out assessments to determine the level of need and risk involved. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users and relevant stakeholders. Participating in duty rota systems to ensure 24/7 coverage for urgent cases and emergencies. Conducting home visits, interviews, and meetings to gather information and assess the wellbeing of children and families. Working closely with other professionals, such as health workers, police, and schools, to safeguard children and promote their welfare.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification. Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in child protection, assessment, and working with children in need and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users and multi-agency partners. Ability to work under pressure, make sound decisions, and manage complex cases efficiently.Additional requirements and benefits:
