Join Buckinghamshire Council as a Child Protection Advisor in Aylesbury, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families within our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact while working collaboratively with multi-agency teams. As a Child Protection Advisor, you will be responsible for assessing and managing child protection cases, providing expert guidance to social workers, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting risk assessments and developing child protection plans. Providing expert advice and support to social work teams and other professionals. Engaging with families to promote positive outcomes and empower them in their parenting roles. Participating in case reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of child protection practices. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
