Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children in care? Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our Child in Care team based in Aylesbury. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

As a Qualified Social Worker in our Child in Care team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children in care. Building trusting relationships with children and their families to support their emotional and social development. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery and safeguarding practices. Monitoring and reviewing care plans, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice guidelines. Advocating for children’s rights and representing their best interests in meetings and court proceedings.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children in care and understanding of child protection legislation. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
