Join our dedicated Help & Protection Team in Aylesbury as a Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families within Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our team, you will engage with families, assess their needs, and develop tailored intervention plans to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating with various agencies and professionals to facilitate support services that empower families to thrive.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other stakeholders. Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure ongoing support and safeguarding measures are in place. Providing advice and support to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW). Registration with Social Work England. Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with families and professionals.
