CAFCASS is currently seeking a Family Court Adviser to join our Private Team in Durham. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting children and families involved in family court proceedings, ensuring their voices are heard and their best interests are prioritized.
As a Family Court Adviser, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to inform court decisions. Preparing detailed reports for the court, outlining findings and recommendations. Providing expert advice and support to the judiciary and legal representatives. Facilitating communication between parents, children, and other stakeholders. Engaging with families to promote positive outcomes and resolve disputes.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Strong knowledge of family law and child protection issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
