Join our dedicated team at CAFCASS as a Family Court Adviser in the Public & Private Team based in Newcastle. We are seeking passionate and skilled individuals to provide essential support and guidance in family court proceedings. As a Family Court Adviser, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the welfare of children and ensuring that their voices are heard in legal matters. Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of families involved in court proceedings to inform decision-making. Preparing comprehensive reports for the court that reflect the best interests of the child. Working collaboratively with legal professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders. Providing direct support and guidance to families, helping them navigate the complexities of family law. Participating in court hearings and presenting findings and recommendations to judges.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and family law settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families and professionals.
