Join Calderdale's Children's Assessment Team as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in our community. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes. You will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to identify risks and develop comprehensive support plans tailored to individual needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of children's welfare and family dynamics. Developing and implementing child protection plans in accordance with legislation and best practices. Engaging with children, families, and other professionals to gather information and provide support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in regular team meetings and supervision to enhance service delivery and professional development.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within children's services, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
