Wakefield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Exploitation & Missing Service Team Manager to lead our efforts in safeguarding vulnerable children and adolescents. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who can inspire a team of social workers and professionals committed to preventing child exploitation and addressing the challenges faced by missing children. You will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of strategies that protect at-risk youth and ensure their well-being.
As the Team Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team focused on child exploitation and missing children. Overseeing case management processes to ensure timely and effective interventions. Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with local agencies, schools, and community organizations. Providing guidance and support to team members through regular supervision and professional development opportunities. Monitoring and evaluating service delivery to enhance outcomes for children and families.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, particularly in relation to child exploitation and missing children. Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.Additional requirements include a commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to participate in training as needed.
