Join our dedicated team as a Child Protection Social Worker in Northumberland, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding vulnerable children and ensuring their well-being. As a vital member of our social work team, you will be responsible for assessing and responding to child protection concerns, working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to promote the best outcomes for children. Your expertise will help shape the lives of young individuals and support families in crisis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families to promote positive change. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
