We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children in Care Advance Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Gateshead. As a key member of our social work department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support and guidance to children and young people in care. Your expertise will help shape their futures and ensure they receive the care and attention they deserve.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and developing tailored care plans. Providing ongoing support and supervision to social workers and other team members. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to care. Advocating for the rights and welfare of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard. Monitoring the progress of children and young people, making necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience working in children's services, particularly with children in care. Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
