Join our dedicated team as a Children in Care Social Worker in Northallerton & Scarborough, where you will play a vital role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people. In this position, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and external agencies to ensure that the best interests of the children in your care are always prioritized. Your expertise will help facilitate positive outcomes and foster a nurturing environment for those in need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing the needs of children in care and developing tailored care plans. Conducting regular visits to children and their foster families to monitor progress and wellbeing. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate services and interventions. Providing guidance and support to foster carers, ensuring they have the resources needed to care for children effectively. Maintaining accurate records and documentation to comply with local authority standards and regulations.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children in care or similar settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
