We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Advanced Practitioner to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT) in Bury. This pivotal role requires a passionate individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality support and intervention for children and families in crisis. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring their needs are met effectively and compassionately.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans for children and families in emergency situations. Providing expert guidance and support to social work staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and statutory requirements. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to coordinate effective responses to safeguarding concerns. Supervising and mentoring less experienced social workers, fostering professional development and growth. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in children's social work, particularly within emergency or crisis intervention settings. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
