Join our dedicated Children's Assessment Team in Bolton as an Assistant Practitioner (AP) and play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of children and families in our community. As part of a dynamic team, you will assist in the assessment and intervention processes, ensuring that children receive the support they need to thrive. Your contribution will be essential in promoting positive outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting social workers in conducting assessments and developing care plans for children. Engaging with children and families to gather information and understand their needs. Contributing to case discussions and team meetings, providing insights based on your observations. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local policies and procedures. Assisting with the implementation of intervention strategies and monitoring progress.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A relevant degree or qualification in social work, youth work, or a related field. Experience working with children and families in a social care setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
