We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Assessment and CIN/CP Team Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Leeds. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children and young people in our community. As a key member of our team, you will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and work collaboratively with families and other agencies to support children in need and those subject to Child Protection Plans.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and professionals. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local and national standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessments and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.Additional requirements include a commitment to continuous professional development and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
