Join our dedicated Children’s Assessment and Planning (AP) - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Dudley, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with multi-agency partners to provide the best outcomes for children and families. Your expertise will be vital in supporting children through challenging circumstances, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs met.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive parents. Attending court hearings and representing the interests of children in care.To be successful in this role, you must possess:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working within children's services, particularly in a CIC setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
