We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Assessment and Planning (AP) - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Oldham. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of vulnerable children and young people in our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality social work services, undertaking assessments, and developing effective care plans.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Working closely with partner agencies to ensure a multi-agency approach to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and working within a Children in Care framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
