Are you a dedicated and compassionate social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Bolton's Safeguarding Children's Team is seeking a qualified Children's Assistant Practitioner (AP) to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will work collaboratively with social workers and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children in our community.
As a Children's AP, your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting social workers in the assessment and planning process for children in need. Conducting home visits and engaging with families to gather essential information. Providing support to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote a collaborative approach to safeguarding.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant degree in Social Work or a related field. Experience working with children and families in a safeguarding context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships. Knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding policies.
