We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Assistant Practitioner to join our Safeguarding Front Door Team in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with social workers and other professionals to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of vulnerable children in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and screening of referrals related to child safeguarding. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to gather relevant information and support decision-making processes. Providing direct support to families, including advice, guidance, and intervention strategies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local policies and procedures. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of safeguarding practices.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant qualification in social work, child development, or a related field. Experience working with children and families, preferably in a safeguarding context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with children and families. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency framework.
