We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Child Protection Chair to join our team in Nottingham. This pivotal role requires an individual who is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within our community. As a Children's Child Protection Chair, you will lead child protection conferences, promote collaborative working relationships, and drive the safeguarding agenda forward. Your expertise will help facilitate effective decision-making processes to protect vulnerable children and support their families.

Key responsibilities include:

Chairing child protection conferences and strategy meetings, ensuring that all voices are heard. Assessing and analyzing complex cases, providing guidance to professionals and stakeholders. Working collaboratively with social workers, educators, healthcare providers, and law enforcement to promote the welfare of children. Monitoring and reviewing child protection plans to ensure they are effective and responsive to changing needs. Providing training and support to staff on child protection policies and best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families effectively. Proven leadership skills and experience in chairing meetings or panels.
