Join our dedicated Children's HOS - Safeguarding Team in Plymouth, where your passion for child welfare and safeguarding can make a significant impact. We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker who is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to provide high-quality support and intervention to vulnerable children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in need of safeguarding. Working closely with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the protection and welfare of children. Managing a caseload of complex cases, providing ongoing support and intervention as necessary. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies. Documenting casework and maintaining accurate records in compliance with local and national standards.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
