We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our social work department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the rights and welfare of children in care are upheld. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting independent reviews of care plans for children and young people in care. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Providing support and guidance to children and young people, ensuring their views are represented. Preparing and presenting reports for review meetings, highlighting key issues and recommendations.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, ideally with a focus on independent reviewing. Strong understanding of legislation and policy related to children's services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
