As a Children's IRO, you will play a crucial role in reviewing care plans, monitoring the quality of care, and advocating for the best interests of children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting regular reviews of care plans for children in care, ensuring that they are appropriate and meet the child's needs. Facilitating meetings with children, families, and professionals to gather feedback and ensure collaborative decision-making. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of care services and making recommendations for improvements. Providing guidance and support to social workers, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Championing the rights of children and young people, ensuring their views are represented in all decisions affecting their lives.To be successful in this role, you will need:
A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, including a thorough understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
