Are you a dedicated and passionate social worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking a Children's Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join our team in Hull. In this vital role, you will ensure that the voices of children and young people are heard and that their rights are upheld during the review process of their care plans.

Your key responsibilities will include conducting independent reviews of care plans, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and working collaboratively with social workers, families, and other stakeholders. You will advocate for children’s best interests, provide support to foster carers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of care services. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and preparing reports to inform decision-making.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. A strong understanding of child protection legislation and experience in a similar role is essential. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
