As a Children's OT, you will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the occupational needs of children and young people. Developing and implementing personalized intervention plans in collaboration with families, schools, and other professionals. Providing therapeutic interventions to enhance children's functional abilities in areas such as self-care, play, and social skills. Monitoring and evaluating progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Delivering training and support to families and caregivers to promote ongoing development and independence.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with disabilities or additional needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively while demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
