Join our dedicated Children's SP - Children and Young People Safeguarding Team in Peterborough as a Qualified Social Worker. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to assess needs, develop care plans, and implement safeguarding strategies that promote positive outcomes for children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required.To be considered for this role, you must have:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
