Join our dedicated Children's Social Work team at the Peterborough Children’s SP - CIC Team, where you will play a pivotal role in improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children in care. Your expertise will guide assessments, interventions, and support plans tailored to the unique needs of each child.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency teams. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Providing direct support and guidance to children and their families, promoting positive outcomes. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.To be successful in this role, you should possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in a looked-after children or child protection context. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
