We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Duty & Assessment Team in Shropshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people, conducting assessments and providing support to families in need.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of children and families in accordance with legislation and local policies. Developing and implementing care plans that meet the needs of children and their families. Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records while adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies. Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance professional development and service delivery.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within children’s services, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
