We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SP-ED) Team in Coventry. This role is crucial in supporting children with special educational needs and their families, ensuring they receive the necessary services and interventions to thrive. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families, educators, and other professionals. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they are informed about available resources and services. Monitoring the progress of children and adjusting care plans as necessary to meet evolving needs. Working closely with local authorities, schools, and healthcare providers to coordinate services effectively.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in special educational needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
