Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children? Join our Children’s SP - UASC Team in Shropshire, where you will play a vital role in supporting Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) as they navigate their journey in a new environment. We are seeking qualified social workers who are committed to providing high-quality care and support to these children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

As a member of our team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of the needs and circumstances of UASC. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Providing advocacy and support to ensure the rights and best interests of children are upheld. Building trusting relationships with children and their families to foster a supportive environment. Collaborating with partner agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care and support. Maintaining accurate records and reports in compliance with local policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a recognized social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Essential qualifications and skills include:

A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification. Experience working with children and families, particularly with UASC. Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively in a team and manage a caseload.
