Leicestershire County Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Assessment & Review Team. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to assess needs, develop effective care plans, and ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community. Your expertise will be essential in driving positive outcomes and supporting vulnerable children and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and circumstances. Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with families and other stakeholders. Providing support and guidance to children and families to promote their welfare. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and review processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in children's social care.
