Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work Team in Southwark as a Qualified Social Worker (SSW) specializing in Children and Families. In this role, you will work collaboratively to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families, ensuring that their needs are met in a supportive and nurturing environment. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing situations, developing intervention plans, and implementing strategies that enhance the well-being of children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and families, providing ongoing support and intervention. Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with local authority policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings to coordinate care and support services.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working in children’s social services, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
