Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work Service (CIC Team) in Barnsley as a Children's Social Worker (SSW). We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate professional who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will work closely with vulnerable children in care, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their development and stability.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in line with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with the Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
