Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Barking & Dagenham as a Children's Social Worker (SSW) and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in our community. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Your expertise will help to empower families, promote positive change, and safeguard vulnerable children in need of support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans to address the needs of children and families. Working closely with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and support for families. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns. Participating in court proceedings and providing evidence when necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and procedures.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in children and family social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals.
