Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? Join our Fostering/Kinship Team in Surrey as a Children's Social Worker (SSW) and play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their caregivers. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster and kinship placements.

As a Children's Social Worker in our team, you will be responsible for a range of key duties aimed at promoting positive outcomes for children and families. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in foster and kinship placements. Building strong relationships with children, families, and foster carers to provide ongoing support and guidance. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care for children. Monitoring and reviewing placements to ensure the best interests of the child are being met. Providing training and support to foster carers to enhance their skills and confidence.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in fostering or kinship care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and families. A sound understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.
