The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Locality Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our community. As part of a dynamic team, you will provide high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and well-being of children while promoting their development and welfare.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and support. Building strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local and national standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in children's social care.
