Join our dynamic MASH Team in Southwark as a Children’s Social Worker (SSW) and play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with families, schools, and various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people. As part of a dedicated team, you will be at the forefront of child protection, working to assess needs and implement effective interventions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings and case conferences. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they are empowered to make positive changes.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in a multi-agency context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
