Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with partner agencies to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the welfare and protection of vulnerable children in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Working closely with other agencies to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of services.The ideal candidate will possess a social work degree or equivalent qualification, along with a valid Social Work England registration. You should have a solid understanding of child protection legislation and experience working within a social work setting, particularly in safeguarding children. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to promoting the best interests of children and families are essential.
