Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Lewisham's Multi Agency Child Protection Team is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in our community, ensuring they grow up in safe and supportive environments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing intervention plans to support children at risk. Working closely with partner agencies, including education, health, and law enforcement, to coordinate services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
