Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Social Worker (SSW) to join our Safeguarding Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people within our community. As a Children’s SSW, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for children, ensuring their rights and needs are met in a safe environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in partnership with families and relevant stakeholders. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with the relevant social work regulatory body. Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. As a Children’s Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Carrying out statutory duties in line with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to access services and resources.To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and families. Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a caseload efficiently. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess and respond to complex situations.
